This is a story I've been working on and off since 2017 on the Alternate History forums. I started a remake in 2021 over there, making many changes to better fit with the new information released in Fire and Blood and other books, but mostly because my vision of the story changed and I was no longer completely satisfied with it. If it seems that some characters or events don't agree with the vision you have of them, blame the inaccuracies of the "historical works" Martin released and changes due to the butterfly effect (for example, Aegon and Corlys Velaryon not wanting to poison each other because of the different circumstances... at least for now). In any case, the true point of divergence here is not Prince Daeron surviving, but rather Rickard Thorne managing to bring Prince Maelor to the Hightower army. Readers from AH.com may notice some minute changes in editing here and there, but nothing major. With that said, I hope this story will manage to reach a wider audience here, and that you'll enjoy it.
